Zimbabwe: Bikita Rakes U.S. $7 Million to jointly manage safari business at DevuliMasvingo — BIKITA Rural District Council has renewed a deal with an investor to jointly manage council's safari business at the Devuli Ranch.
Council raised more than US$7 million in the past five years from the venture. The deal between Bikita RDC and the investor will expire in 2020.
Bikita RDC chief executive officer, Mr Johnsen Mpamhadzi, last week confirmed council had signed a new 10-year deal with an unidentified investor to run the business.
"We have signed a new 10-year deal with a private investor to jointly run safari operations at Devuli Ranch and the first deal that we signed in 2001 had expired at the end of last month," said Mr Mpamhadzi.
