Thank you Tim, we are all very happy of how they progressing.
This afternoon I had to shoot a pregnant black buck doe.
Another animal made a large hole in her stomach, killing the baby and making part of it hanging out of her.
Very sad to do.
The amazing part was she kept running, together with the rest of them.
Making it difficult for me to shoot her in the head as I usually do with a 22.
Eventually I shot her on the run, hitting her just behind the shoulder.
She must have been really sick, as she just dropped and died within a few seconds.

CrazyhorseconsultingLora said she would be quite happy if you could send her a breeding trio of Dik-Dik.
We had some Muntjak for a while, but she thinks Dik-Dik are really neat animals.
Even the rocks don't last forever.

D. NelsonSaeed;
Congratulations on some beautiful babies! Loved the pictures.
Is the ostrich tame or dangerous?
So sorry about the Blackbuck.
Best regards, D. Nelson

SaeedThey are tame, but one has to be careful with them.
Because they are so big, and tend to just turn 180 and run, and can cause quite a bit of damage if they run over you.

Bill/OregonWonderfully crisp images. Your family is so fortunate to have such lovely creatures at hand.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

Thank you Bill.
We also have an exchange program with other reserves, and zoos.
And we have kids from different schools study the animals.
Tomorrow we have a major catch.
We do this every year, and every animal gets several required injections.
It is quite an involved operation, requiring 3 vets, and about 25 other personnel.
At the same time we get students from high school who come observe what goes on.

Aspen Hill AdventuresNeato! Glad to hear the local school kids are interested. You are sure to inspire! Keep up the good work, I know it is quite an expense.

fairgameSome super sharp photos of some very interesting animals.
Have you not thought of setting up a much larger reserve out in the desert? That would be a project.

Andrew,
There are a number of larger facilities set up in the desert, and we do collaborate with them in exchanging animals.
One thing we found out is the fact that our animals tend to breed extremely well in they way they are set up here.
And as you have seen on your visit, most of our animals are those on the endangered species.

Saeed,
When I flew over your country there seemed to be vast tracts of of quite dramatic wilderness and do you think that some of the species could be reintroduced under a managed free ranging format? With a view to take off a small hunting quota in the future?

SaeedWe have a number of very reserves where animals have been bred.
But, so far no intention of introducing hunting.
