LHowellThe cost of all these policies can be more or less expensive depending on how much, of what coverages that you buy!
I think TG even mentions only insuring the expenses that will not be recoverable, IF you need to cancel your trip. [That is usually only the airfare, or part of it, and the deposits that you have paid and agreed to loose if you need to cancel at a late date.]
I usually enter a trip cost of $0, indicating that I am not asking for coverage of the actual hunt cost or airfare. The premiums for all the other "fringe" coverages - but including medical coverage, and some degree of evacuation coverage, is very cheap, under $100 for sure, I think about $45 last trip.

K Evansgunslinger: My wife broke her ankle in South Africa on the first day of our hunt, the break required hospitalization and surgery. We had purchased an inexpensive plan from TG mostly for the trip interruption or cancellation aspect. This plan also had an accidental injury clause, we emailed the company notifying them of accident and had a response with a claim number in less than an hour. They paid for all hospital and surgical expenses (reimbursed, you gotta pay up front in South Africa), paid for business class seats on our return (she had to keep the ankle elevated) and even paid the daily rate for the hunting days I missed. I think that is pretty good.

gunslinger55Update: after further advice and review went with "my travel guard" custom pick the benefits you want with upgrades. 1/3 less than the cheapest "full" plan and has all the stuff I need/want.
Thanks for the info
