Saeed: Why don't you add pet rhinos to your house? Would make fun pets, to go with your raccoon.

I'm with you on this Saeed. You cannot call this a hunt.

Having just done one of these "hunts" I am in total agreement with Saeed. It was a non hunt as far as I am concerned. Yes, you do have to get much closer so there is some potential risk. However, white rhinos are very docile compared to other dangerous game. They are in such a protected status that they are fairly used to humans. They are still somewhat wary but nothing like a truly wild animal. In darting you have to be about 30 to 40 yards tops as the dart drops rapidly. You also have to have a totally clear shot and can not shoot through brush etc. It also takes 3 to 5 minutes for the M99 to work and the animal can cover a lot of ground in that time. White rhinos however rairly charge and only want to get away. It is not worth the money in my opinion to do this. IT was however cool to be able to handle the drugged animal and feel its breathing.I thought it would be exciting but found it to be a dissapointment. You can find dart hunts on average for around 6K. That said it is still too much like shooting in a paddock for my tastes. Now, darting a black rhino may be a whole different story.
