I talked to John about a couple of months ago about Burkina Fasso. It looks very interesting. The season (December through March) is diferrent than in southern Africa. You get pay in French Francs (great exchange rate now). The lions don't have great manes, but you are supposed to be able to track them on foot (check with John on this, I think I got the lion info from somebody else). Plus, you fly through Paris (my wife likes that part of it).
I wonder how hard it is to get guns into Paris, if you wanted to layover for a couple of days and go siteseeing?

John went there this last season and had a great time. He said the same things about the lions not having manes. I was kicking around the idea with a few friends for this next season, we will have to see what happens.
