JefffiveIt's originally Swahili, means "Father" (affectionately) or "Boss" (not so much). Was (is) commonly used by African staff to refer to either a Professional Hunter or (sometimes) a client hunter.

Die Ou JagterI always thought it was the PH's way of not calling the client by the wrong name, as every client is "Bawana".
