gunnyThe effect of cable safari
Cable TV and the abundance of safari shows has had a dramatic effect on the safari industry. It not only brings dangerous game safaris to your livingroom it is positive advertisement for the individual safari operator. Try to book a safari with someone Craig Boddington has just done a film with. Im wondering if we were better off before all these film makers were able to write off their safaris as a business expense.

Craig may not help safari prices and availability but he promotes the industry which ultimately makes safari hunting more viable for the future. Like they did with Capstick safari operators welcome Craig's writing etc. I think in the long run he benfits us all.

almostacowboyI agree with Mark. The hunting industry (all industries) hire spokesmen to increase business. The good companies will reach demand capacity (fully booked calendars) and will then be able to raise prices (to maintain and improve quality) as demand for a product increases - Economics 101.
