retreeverWasn't it a year or so ago Tanzania govt. confiscated a shipment of ivory and it was in a secure location and it unknowingly disappeared from the lock up. It was a few tons also.

Similar at Pemba, Mozambique. The big tusks get cut into sections for transport.

One of two things, the ivory could be "sold " out the back door on the quiet or if Leakey comes around, the ivory could be the basis of a big BBQ.
