Rehabbing elephant hair bracelet
Have one that's been sitting and drying out. Best way to treat it to get it back to usable?Thx, Bob

d.ungerI’ve used Montana pitch blend on mine and it seems to work very well. I’m sure there are other natural blends that would work just as well. Had one bracelet given to me by my uncle from his elephant from the early 60’s that crumbled. They definitely need some treatment to avoid that.

So you apply then rinse off or just work a little in and wipe off excess?
Elephant hair bracelets if not constantly worn should be oiled from time to time to prevent dehydration.
Natural petroleum jelly or baby oil are effective lubricants and are not corrosive on the hair.
On a different note, if you choose to wear your bracelet, be careful where you go as it is rated as a restricted article.
