500nitroExcellent read on big game rifle reloading data
I picked up my copy of "big Bore Cartridge load data collection" by Pierre van der Walt a week or so back.
Seriously, if you are into big bore shooting with classics then it is a must read.
It discusses cartridges from 9.3x62 up, and has a history, idiosyncrasy and loading data with SA, USA and European powders for each calibre.
There is definitely an african slant to the discussions of types of bullets and experiences and what is hot and what is not. Scopes/optics and open sights as well as suggested sighting distances are also discussed.
The book can be ordered from
www.bigbore.co.za and the isbn 0-620-35852-1.

MJinesBook is well put together. Ordered mine from Zimbi books and it was received promptly. A great resource for big bore shooters.
I also recommend the book. It sparked my interest in van der Walt's wildcat, the .458 African Express (rimless) and my post on that in the big bores thread. I also appreciate that he has included loads with European powders which are not always found in other reloading books.

billrquimbyPierre van der Walt is a friend, and the real thing. He's co-owner of South Africa's equivalent of our SHOT Show, an attorney, gun writer and certified gun nut. Zimbi Books is a husband/wife team and good people, too.
