I read recently about a report that American Airlines was not allowing guns to be transported as luggage with a passenger. Is that true for travel in the USA?

From what I've read, SCI, NRA, and several unhappy hunters, myself included, convinced them to change their policy. I would suggest a phone call to AA to confirm.
