<Boltgun>Charging buffalo
On a hunt for buffalo, if another buffalo charges the hunter, and he kills it also, are you required to pay the trophy fee for it? What about if the PH kills it? I hate to ask this question, but was just wondering if it has ever came up.

Atkinsonyou could pay the trophy fee and keep the animal, most would want to or you could suffer through the paper work of explaining it to the Game Dept, no biggie..but a pain in the kazoo...OR you could bribe the gamescout!!

<Norbert>In my experience after killing a buffalo in a group or herd, never another buff would charge. Very different is the behaviour of elephants. Their "social support" is very distinct, killing a cow in a herd often is followed by a charge of their companions.
Killing in such a case is easily accepted as self defense.
