AD of sorts
Sorry people not a hunting post but thought it would be of intrest.

The following pictures are of a revolver that a local businessman was carrying in his belt, when he was attacked by a group of armed robbers.

The robbers were firing the famous AK 47 at the man only one round got anywhere near him.

the round hit his revolver and detonated a bullet.

His own bullet is what hurt him as it went into his leg and did a lot of damage.

What an incredible incident. hopefully the victim will be alright! Did the AK47 bullet lodge inot the revolver or di it sort of disintegrate?

Bwanamich,
The person is doing fine,he is one of those old leathery tough cookies.
I am not sure on what happened to the bullet as the firearm has just been released by the police, to the owner. This incident happened about six months ago. It has been deregistered and the barrel welded up as the owner wants to keep it as a reminder.
I asked the owner wether he knew what happened to the AK bullet but unfortunately he was in shock and then had to be flown to South Africa for treatment, So he has no idea.

That explains the rust on the firearm. It is law here in Tz to deposit in the Gov approved armory any new firearm that is in the process of being registered when bought. Well the registration process is often a lengthy opne and you don't want to know what some of guns look like whne they are collected.
