The passing of Jobson Nyoni
I receive this sad news this morning. Great friend and tracker Jobson Nyoni has passes away. I don't know any of the details, but I will post as I find out. Any of you that have hunted with PH Rodie Tourle know Jobson as his right hand man and best friend. Jobson was a great tracker, cook, mechanic and a great friend. I known Jobson for almost 20 years. Hunted with him on 7 safairs, been chased by elephants, shared life experiences, and walked miles tracking wounded game He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace my friend.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. I know strong bonds develop between hunters and their trackers.

I am sure Jobson was one of the unsung heros of the African bush. My condolences to those who knew him well.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

As Russell said, they truly are the unsung heroes of the bush and of safari! My sincerest condolences as well.
