We spotted him from the truck and made a short stalk. After the shot, he ran away. Thanks to a good dog, we found him.

A farm I hunt on near waterburg in Namibia are filthy with steenbok. You cant go 1/4 mile without seeing one or two. I've seen several that would go 5" or better, they dont intrest me, or the farmer for meat so are left alone.
Has anyone seen them drink water? I've watched waterholes many evenings, seen them come out to feed, but never drink.

I saw one drink in Namibia this year. The PH was very surprised. I got a good pic...will post later when I have time.
