M-70 Recall/Repair
I purchased a LH M-70 .375 last September. Dealer contacted me yesterday to verify my address as Winchester has recalled the gun for repair. Anyone else gotten this news? Winchester is to send me a packing kit for return to their factory. Does anyone know what the problem is?

I didn't want to hear that. I also bought a lefty 375 last September also.

I just called the Winchester recall number (800) 945-5372 and they said that for a specific batch of left handed M-70's the trigger and safety mechanism were adjusted incorrectly during assembly.

They would not give me a range of serial numbers for the affected guns but mine is not one of the ones being recalled. (Serial No. G377XXX)
