stillluckyFake Rand in Atlanta
WE bought some Rand in the E Concourse at the
exchange and one of the R100 notes was bad. A cashier in SA spotted it from 2 lines over in the grocery store. It was a pretty good photocopy. When compared to the good notes it was obvious.
And then we got on the plane to Paris with the
overly romantic TB Man.
Zim was great.
Stilllucky so far.
Just curious, after these experiences what has prompted you to keep the handle "Stilllucky"?

Use Enough GunAfter what you've told us StillHere might be better.
Not that the outlook for success would be very large, and fortunately this did not involve large sums, but did you go back to the place you bought the Rand and "complain"???
In principle, these were the guys who unloaded the bad note onto you. And you would have thought professionals should spot counterfeit bills easier than laymen...

stillluckyBetter than that I called the FBI. It went this way, the 20 something black girl at the exchange
filled our order for 100 US of rand-7/1 rate or there about. Then she offered an additional R100
note for a little less. Something along the lines of a better rate for more Rand. Now I do not know if that was the counterfeit note. BUT
I think that it is a great scam. FBI agent filed
it in the trash I'm sure, but hey ya'll should know.

That does sound a bit fishy! I hope the FBI does not just file the case.
