BaxterBWow. Knew nothing of it. Beard has lived a very interesting life. Beard and PH Terry Mathews were filming a show for ABC Tv in 1987 when Mathews was gored by a female black rhino. Beard’s actions were apparently a contributing factor in the charge.

When I'm ready to go, pack a bag of gunpowder up my ass and strike a fire to my pecker, until I squeal like a boar.

True Bud, but the fact is that an old man with dementia hasn't been seen in a few weeks, so I don't think that this one is "Fake News."

He was a “player” Andrew. Cheryl Tiegs said on their wedding night he did not come home until the next day!

Alfredo CWell, the mystery is over.
A hunter in Montauk found the remains of a human body wearing the clothes that PB was last seen wearing
Again, I hope that I go out like that after living the life he led

Michael RobinsonHe certainly led quite a life.
He was a talented photographer. I enjoyed his book,
The End of the Game.

Alfredo CHe spent much of his life in Africa, he was rich, he banged numerous supermodels, and died in his 80's...I would say that he did pretty good in life

Michael RobinsonI think he did okay for himself.
Maybe until he brought two Russian prostitutes home to his New York apartment at 6 AM. When he was in his late 70s, and stoned out of his mind.
And his wife was worrying and had stayed up waiting for him.
Maybe then he might have gone a wee bit too far? Just a wee bit, maybe?
Ah, well. Some folks take a long time to find themselves.
I did enjoy his book.

Yea maybe a bit huh?

He was of that old school era William Holden, Clark Gable, etc. Guys were boozing womanizers and their wives tolerated and accepted it.
Different era

reddy375His body has been found.
I had the pleasure of meeting him once at an art gallery in Manhattan where he was showing his work. That evening I also met J.A.Hunters grandson and the son of another famous old time PH. Beard also had a home in Kenya, so guess that was the connection.
He came from money and led a full life I guess!
I suppose a bit like a Hemingway or Robert Ruark character, hunted a fair bit but wrote more if you know what I mean! The romantic time of Safari, travel and adventure to foreign lands and wild places, people and animals, all history now.

HuttyI have a few of his books and enjoyed reading them. Seems he lived a colorful life.
The danger of civilization, of course, is that you will piss away your life on nonsense
