Mad DogMy son just got me a great Father's Day present!!
My boy just called me, and told me he's got the airline tickets, rooms, and a car for the DSC covention, next Jan. Man! Can't hardly believe it! He told me to pick up the tickets, when they become available, and I owe him dinner, the 1st night. Going down on thurs. Jan. 7th, go to the show Fri. and Sat., then fly back to Indy on Sun. I guess the show is at the Hyatt, and that's where we are staying. Gonna take some deposit money, and hopefully book a cape buff, and who knows what else trip while we are there. It's our 1st trip to DSC, and I'm already excited!

Die Ou JagterMad Dog, stop by the AR gathering on either Fri or Sat or better yet both. The locations will be on here later. I think we will be back at the Comfort Inn for Sat night. You will have a great time in Dallas for sure.

Mad DogCraig, will definately stop by to say Hi, and chat. That's why we are going for basically the whole weekend.
DOJ, will keep an eye out for the locations. Never drove in Dallas, is it a PITA to get around?
Question for those that have been there. If you get a weekend long pass, do you need to order it in advance, or just pick it up at the door when you get there?

MacD37you can pick up any tickets you want at the door!
Let me Welcome you to Texas, and as suggested above get together with the rest of us AR and DRSS guys for dinner, and general gab-fests. Most of the guys will be wearing the AR caps, and shirts so are hard to miss, especially if you go anyplace near the Champlin's, or Heym-USA booths!
............See you there!

Die Ou JagterYou just by your ticket at the door. They have single or multi day tickets. I don't really know how bad it is to get around in Dallas as Frank's wife Joyce is my driver, right Frank.

That said the Comfort Inn is on Stemmons Freeway and very easy to get to and from the Convention Center. We checked on moving the party close to the Center but found it would triple or quadiple the cost.

eezridrWe on occasions have quite few people come into town (Dallas) on business. If there are over 10 individuals the hotels will typically cut you a very good deal. As an example, we had the Marriott courtyard and the oval granite hotel next to the market hall offer $89.00/ night just a week ago; including breakfast.
Hotel rates have plummeted the past 6-8 months. You might get some good deals if you start negotiating now. 10 people seems to be the magic number for negotiations.

Frank BellerYes, Joyce will again be available as the driver for anyone who needs rides anywhere or picked up at the airport. We will confirm plans for the Friday & Saturday get-togethers as the show gets a little closer. You'll have a wonderful time ...... almost as much fun as a hunt.

Mad DogWhen[I assume Nov.] do they release a list of exhibitors, and a map of the convention center? Also, how far is it from the airport to the Hyatt? Looking forward to meeting a lot of you boys.
