MACHomeward Bound
To my friends on AR. I am finally homeward bound from the warzone in Iraq. I have been deployed on the USS Nashville and have spent a large part of the last year doing various combat and support opperations with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit in suport of the War on Terrorism.
We took part in the evacuation of Lebanon. Nashville was the first US warship on station and we evacuated over 3000 people to safety in Cyprus. We did missions and training evolutions in Pakistan, Jordan, Djoubiti and various locations in the Northern Arabian Gulf.
I'm sitting in Bahrain right now and should be home in the states on the first of Oct. Just in time to do some hunting and to get ready to report to my next duty station in Pensacola Fl.
It is good to be headed home and I look forward to joining the discuions again.

Don_GThanks for your service, MAC.
Stay safe.
The deer in FL are nothing to write home about, but they have some decent pig hunting.
