Congrats and thanks for sharing the pics.

I have to ask, however, how you managed to find the rare zebra striped shetland pony??? You are a big dude alright! Hopefully you and Christer never get seated next to each other on an international flight!!!!!

Okay, I've waxed poetic of my first Safari, but CCHunter has accused me of NOT really going because I haven't posted pictures.

OK Mark, I need more proof to get convinced. The pictures above are clearly staged at a Hollywood studio....

No, you did a great job and next year I see to that you get your Kudu Mark.

I will tell you good in advance which seats you shall avoid on what flight next year.

Actually, I got mike!!!!

I brought one of those envelopes that has a spring, a rubber band and a washer twisted up inside. On the outside it says, "WARNING, Rattles Snake Eggs, Keep Cool to Prevent Hatching" There is also a close up picture of a rattlesnake head striking the camera.

I pulled it from my bag on day three or so, and asked him if his little boy liked lizrds and snakes and things. I went on with this elaborate story about how you put sand in a box, and a light bulb and you could hatch the eggs.

His eyes about popped out of his head and he yells at me, "What are you CRAZY?? Can you imagine what would happen
if those things got loose over here? You MUST destroy themn immediately!"

I acted all dejected and said, "Well, don't you at least want to see what they look like?"

When he opened that envelope the whole thing started to shake and buzz and he half climbed out the window of the Cruiser!

After he punched me, he proceeded to scare the hell out of the trackers, the staff and every hunter and PH who came through camp. As soon as he laid eyes on a new victim, I could see it on his face...

It was a simple joke, but an absolute hit in camp. On e PH, Kevin?? (a stocky beared red head) amost broke is bed trying to get away from the thing...ah, what fun.

I will definitely have to check with you! Seems I always get seated next to the biggest guy on the plane. I'm only 6'2" and 225 (almost average these days!), but its still uncomfortable for both of us! My last flight was on a DeHaviland Dash 8, seated next to a 6'10" 300ish pound basketball player!
