graybirdSelling hunts on Ebay
I was skimming Ebay this evening and came across several hunts for African safaris at various prices. They included anything from daily fees in RSA for only $700 for ten days to package hunts and even management hunts.
Just curious what your thoughts are on these types of hunts. I guess it goes back to the supply and demand theory again ... if someone wasn't buying them then they wouldn't be selling them.
If daily rates are really cheap, check the trophy list prices carefully.
I think more and more hunts are being sold through ebay.

Robert johnsonJust remember theres more than one way to skin a cat! One way or another you PAY!
Inflated Trophy fees, Boxing, Shipping fees, Airport pick up, Taxidermy kick backs,
When you pay your bill you will have paid full price!
Most successfuly run scams depend on an element of greed from the clients /victim.
I think you are more likely to get rich answering email from African diplomats offering to sent you money!

Robert johnsonI logged on to Ebay to check it out, The first African hunt being auctioned off is a great deal. Only $1500 for a $6350 hunt.
You "must" kill at least three animals, Trophy fees are only $1700 for Gemsbok ( I paid $400 on my last hunt) Kudu $1700 ( I paid $600 on my last hunt) Zebra $1700 ( I paid $700 on my last hunt) Springbok $695 (I paid $250 on my last hunt) Only ten hour left. What a deal!
Old saying-"you get what you pay for" Africa is not the place to figure out you are getting screwed....Beware

CunninghamYes you always get what you pay for, and pay and pay and pay....
There is more to hunting than the price. Its better for everthing to be upfront. The best lessons in life are the ones you pay for. BEWARE
Safari on EbayI can't quite figure this one out. What am I getting for my money? Day Rates for 2 and Observer Rates for 2? If so, why do I need to make a deposit of $1,000?
Health issue forces sale. I'm guessing there is more than one of these trips for sale.
Extra $200/day if hunt is conducted at area other than main camp????
Maybe it's just me, but this ad is a bit confusing.

Terry
