RussianProblems with Taxidermy Enterprises, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Africa
Anyone currently experiencing delays with taxidermy consignments concerning the company Taxidermy Enterprises, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Africa please respond. We have to do something. It is almost two years I'm struggling to get the stuff out of them. I have 5 trophies there. HHK Safaries offered those people to me.

Adrian ParhamRussian,
You probably already know this is not uncommon in Zimbabwe. It is even more common out of Bulawayo and this company is no worse than others.
Since HHK was your outfitter your chances of getting your trophies is very good as they have a good reputation.
Do a bit of research on this forum as this subject exactly has been discussed at length very recently. Good luck!

Hoot MurrayRussian,
They were a piece of crap a long time before the meltdown in Zimbabwe.
Adrian is right. Contact Graham and he will get things going for you if anyone can. I have hunted with HHK on two safaris and I have nothing but good to say about them. They are a first class outfit.
The only reason to run from Taxidermy Enterprises, is you can't fly!
Buena suerte,
Hoot

I too am waiting on a shipment of buffalo from Nov 2007 from Taxidermy Enterprises. Things are slow right now, and I am not too concerned yet. As mentioned you need not worry too much because of HHK. They are way past 1st class--about as good as it gets anywhere. Graham will sort things out for sure.

GanyanaTaxidermy ent changed hands a few years back to the Merredith brothers (swainson's Safaris), and they have put ALOT of effort into trying to get the permiting problems with National Parks sorted out. To say that the problems besetting the Bulawayo office of parks is a nightmare is a classical bit of British understatement! Nor Will Parks head office in Harare process any permits from Bulawayo!
When last I looked there were some 2000 crates of trophies, packed and waiting t go scatered between one taxidermist and two freight agents. The hold up was parks.
Please email the director of National Parks - Morris Mutsumbiwa and exprecess your concern
