DB BillRe: Sable hunt????
Almost without fail Sable are at a premium and the quota is usually very low. I would be suspicious of any hunt were you were promisied a very good chance on a quality sable for less than $6K-$7K...plus of course you're airfare, trophy shipping etc. Take a look at the websites for most of the safari companys and you will see what I mean as most of the time you need to book for a specific number of days plus trophy fees of $2500 to $3000 for the sable.....waterbuck will add $1000 to $1500 trophy fee.

MarioIn Carolina we operate with a very strict quota: only 4 bulls a year in 200 animals. See the picture for the year 2004:http://www.hunt101.com/img/216757.jpg.

mark65x55Thanks for all the offers guys but after talking it over with the wife and my bank acct. it don't look like we'll be going back to Africa next year

She wants to stay near home, do a few hunts in the states and do something other than hunting

I'm looking at moose hunting in '06 ....so it maybe some time before we get back to Africa.
Russ, I do like your idea about Namibia and will keep it in mind.
