BrettAKSCILion areas with sable and roan
I want to hunt lion in the distant future and would also like to pick up a sable and roan. I'm more just messing around looking and dreaming right now, but does anyone know if there are areas with good lion, sable, and roan outside of Western Tanzania? I know Zambia has both, but most areas that have good lion seem to have sable or roan and not both.

Scott450Hunters & Guides Zambia have a concession Kasonso Busanga that borders the north of Kafue National Park. They have all three with the lion and Sable excellent and 1 or 2 Roan on quota a year. They also have great sitatunga

Your right that finding roan, sable and lion on avaiable on one safari is difficult and finding good trophy quality for all is even more difficult.
John DuPlooy is one operator that can provide all 3 and of every good quality. He is 100% on shooting opportunities on mature lion in the Luangwa and has exceptional roan, sable, Livingstone's eland, sitatunga and others in Tondwa. The sable average 40" plus and an honest 50" was taken there 3 years ago. Roan will be 26"-27" with some bigger and the are numerous in Tondwa. The sitatunga are 26" plus and John has had 100% success on them.
The sitatunga, sable, roan and eland can all be hunted on a seperate 14 day hunt or the sitatunga and some common game can be hunted on a 10 day schedule.
So while your dreaming dream on this Zambian hunt.

BrettAKSCIThanks Mark. I'm sort of between Zambia, Western Tanzania, or Masailand. I'll definitely keep Zambia in mind.

SpringMoyowosi in Western Tanzania has all three, but you don't want to try for all of them until August or later when all of the grass has been burned. Otherwise, the roan will be very hard to find.
