Jaco HumanCork Gun
What is it with this cork gun that is on the main page of the AR forums. Are the moerators and Saeed pulling an April fools day on us? The cork can even reach the target.

Use Enough GunIt's for all of the Elmer Fudds out there.
As about a 3 year old white hunter, I used a pop-gun on flies etc. I think I even had a DB, but I didn't worry about regulation at about 6 inches.

boerbokribWhat I am intrested in is what is the best shot placment to avoid a charge by one of these dangerous critters. When it flew at you intent on causing you certain death did you stand an deliver or run. What is the minimum roland ward mesurment for flies?

be intrested to hear your comments on charging fles and such like. what diod you find as the best calibre cork for one shot kills.

prof242I've always favored champagne or sparkling wine corks for this type of dangerous game hunting. You are then able to congratulate all and sundry with your prowess...not to mention being able to embroider on the event due to the stimulation of said alcohol.

Jaco HumanWe need to keep this ethical. Suggested fair chase rules should be: if the fly is 3mm in diameter, the corks diameter should not be more than 9 mm and the shooting distance should not be less than 9 feet. We got to give the flies a sporting chance, just now we will have the greenies all over us

Use Enough GunIt's gone now, replaced by the newest greeting, but I can't help but think that it also had something freudian in its message about guys over 55. . . .

boerbokribI thought that flies were vermin and thus you could use any size you wanted.
I like the idea of wine and champers corks and the celebrating of the hunt.
Here is my story.
Had just landed in the hot and humid hunting grounds on the east coast of Africa.
As usual for that time of year there was lots of huntable prey about.
I had just checked the zero that morning so was confident that the rifle was shooting straight.
I was looking for that exceptional one in a life time beast.
I had practised quite a lot and so was very confident.
I took my time and finally found it. I had to wait to for it to get into range I aimed and then let rip. I knew it was a perfect shot it dropped and did not move again.
Yet another successful hunt.
Note the exceptional length
