T.CarrAre you speaking literally (pachyderm means "thick skinned")?
If so, I would say elephant, rhino and hippo.

Terry

T.CarrYes, I believe hogs are pachyderms.
Often one hears the Cape buffalo referred to as "thick skinned" game. I don't believe that the Cape buffalo is a true pachyderm, however.

raamwInteresting question, the answer I found is which by definition includes many animals
Well, "pachy" means "thick," and "derm" means "skin." So these are the thick-skinned animals of Africa. The three most famous pachyderms all live in Africa. They are the elephant, rhinoceros, and the hippopotamus.

SaeedMice too! Somone told me they are related to elephants!
Come to think of it, if the questions is about "thick skinned" creatures, then all Africans hunters qualify too!

lawndartMan,
Was I out in left field on this question. I should be ashamed since I sling the Latin and Greek around every day at work. I immediately was thinking "BIG". My second thought was my God son's wife, but, when I saw the thick skinned part, I knew that she was excluded.
