SDhunterTanz vs Bots for buffalo
What are the pluses and minus of Tanzania vs Botswana for Buffalo?
I think I have finally narrowed it down to these two countries.

shakariThey're both very good options, Botswana has a much lower Buffalo population than Tanzania and consequently smaller quotas. - and tends to be more expensive because of that.
Tanzania has a larger Buff population than all the other southern and east African countries put together (according to Robertson) and allows 2 Buff plus plains game on a 7 day licence.
I've hunted both countries and (IMO) Tanzania beats Botswana and everywhere else for that matter, hands down......

MARK H. YOUNGSDhunter,
I think I would recommend a buffalo hunt to someone in Botswana only if they wanted something different and had hunted buffalo in other places. Tanzania is by far THE place to hunt buffalo. You can choose a fairly inexpensive 2 buff 7 day hunt for a representative buffalo or a luxury hunt with a real chance at taking a monster. Your budget is basically your only limiting factor.
The rest of huntable Africa has good buffalo hunting but nothing I know of compares to Tanzania.
