ZIM DG hunt next year
Just put pen to paper and signed the contract for my first Zimbabwe DG hunt (through Aaron Neilson) with Ivory Trail Safaris and Philip Smythe next August. Going to be a 10 day tuskless ele and cape buffalo hunt in the Chirisa area. I want to thank the members that reached out to me and assured me of the reputation of Aaron and his services. Communication thus far has been great and I'm looking forward to the hunt. My Sabatti should get a work out and I plan on having the hunt videographed as well.

I hope Aaron, in the disclosures, mentioned that DG hunting may be addictive. I have still not met a person who has signed his first African DG contract who has not gone back or is not planning to return. Good luck!

Tom

Make sure you stop at the old ranger station site, the view out across the bluffs is incredible. Will you be staying at Swainson's camp? If so, sundowners at the firepit overlooking the Sengwa river will be a sight you will never forget Cool

Hint: get up before first light and sit at the edge of the firepit and watch/listen as the bush wakes up to a new day. The dassies will come out to warm up in the sun and frolic.

IMO a 10 day buffalo / tuskless elephant hunt is the perfect adventure. Good luck and enjoy every last second.

Just got back home from a business trip and trying to get caught up with all the posts I've missed! Guys, it just ain't fair - after seeing the pics and the comments, August next year can't come soon enough! The views from the camp and the ranger station look just awesome.
