Who makes factory ammo for .416 Rigby?
Besides Federal that is? What choices do I have in factory ammo for this gun in brands and bullet configurations? I want some good solids and some good softs - looks like Federal has some of each, but am researching my options and figured you guys would know...

Norma's new PH Series....450 gr Woodleigh softs and solids. Don't know the price....but I'm sure they don't give 'em away. They sure look good, though. I saw them in Reno...nickel cases, etc.
Obviously, the best is to handload...or pay the price.
Superior will also load up anything you want.

Hornady. Cheap at $75. Shoot and make brass. Only hunt with the solid.

Don't forget specialty guys like Larry at Superior Ammo and John LaSalla at Safari Arms! They will custom load components for you at fairly reasonable prices.

Norma has also made it before their PH announcement. I believe the "regular" is 400 and/or 410 grains, where the PH will be in 450 grains.

There are few calibers that will pay for your reloading equipment as quickly as the .416 Rigby!!!

I wouldn't hunt DG with Hornady. Period. If you must then use the solid. The InterBond bullet is rife with failures.
