Isn't it incredible how the human mind works: a decade ago the Buffalo had to fall within minimum limits of 40+ and we only shot shagged out bulls for bait and preference was directed at those whose horns were totally worn down or broken off to look like scrum caps.

Of late however its all gone haywire as the "trophy" is a scrum cap with a bonus if the boss has a mirror finish.

I have always preferred very old bulls.

Preferably with no horns left.

Age based hunting is Great for conservation. Also many have opted not to shoot into breeding herds, another plus.

Fulvio, Too true.

I shot two broken horn bulls last year. They were together. Great trophies from my perspective.

Not sure. My late Grandfather Sid Leicester was an aircraft technician and designed and modified the Lancaster for the Dam Busters. He and his team were placed under house arrest in Entebbe but expected to work for Idi Amin and while testing one of his planes he got the whole crew out to Kenya
