one of Pondoro Taylors favourite DG rounds was the .350Rigby....which chronographs a Kynoch 225gn steel jacket soft around 2500mv.

He reached for .375 [solid] for Ele in the thick stuff, simply because of the limited projectile loadings avail. for the 350 Rigby.
That .375 solid better provided the penetration he wanted, but it offered no practical increase in wound channel dia. over the .350

Saeed,Selby and Taylor pretty much have the same view [and rather extensive empirical findings], regarding the medium bore .375 on DG.

I have had the pleasure to hunt with the 350Rigby BUT would only hunt the cats with this calibre. Certainly not Cape Buffalo or Ele.

I have been loading 162 grain Walterhog in a 308 Winchester for a friend who culls buffalo.

He never mentioned any problems.
