With these two calibers, and suitable bullets, she can kill anything that walks this earth.
one of Pondoro Taylors favourite DG rounds was the .350Rigby....which chronographs a Kynoch 225gn steel jacket soft around 2500mv.
which is well below a modern loaded 35Whelen.
He found the .350R indistinguishable to the .375HH in killing effect at 150yd+ ..and stated it was much more pleasurable in recoil.
He reached for .375 [solid] for Ele in the thick stuff, simply because of the limited projectile loadings avail. for the 350 Rigby.
That .375 solid better provided the penetration he wanted, but it offered no practical increase in wound channel dia. over the .350
'Undoubtedly one of the deadliest weapons in existence. I've had five of these rifles—two doubles and three magazines—and have fired more than 5,000 rounds
of .375 Magnum ammunition at game. One of them accounted for more than 100 elephant and some 411 buffalo, besides rhino, lions and lesser game. - John Taylor.
Saeed,Selby and Taylor pretty much have the same view [and rather extensive empirical findings], regarding the medium bore .375 on DG.
