jrslateAfrican Wedding - Almost here..!!!
Hi everyone,
A lot of you on here who know me know that I am marrying a beautiful Afrikaner girl...well, it's almost here..!! I'll head back to Cape Town on November 15th. We get married on December 10th at the Moederkerk in Stellenbosch, then we're heading to the Addo Elephant Park (near PE) for the honeymoon.
I'll come back to Oregon around the first of the year, and she'll be over shortly after that.
Living in RSA for a year was a great experience...I enjoyed it thrououghly, and I learned a lot, but I also found the most amazing girl I've ever met...
Best of all...I now have an excuse to go to Africa every year forever...!!!!

lawndartJust remember, you can surely tell an Afrikaner girl, you just can't tell her much. Don't piss her off in the morning when the toaster is near at hand for her to throw, and you will have fifty years of wedded bliss.

PS Good luck, and may God bless your union.

Bill/OregonJoel: Best to you and your bride from Bill down in Medford. An Oregonian in RSA and an Afrikaaner coming to Oregon (and mighty welcome, too!): both places are blessed!

kamaatuJoel,
first of all congratulations on your decision. Just take good care of yourself, those Afrikaans speaking women can get vicious once you pi them off. I still have a mark on my back from one shooting at me with a pellet gun.
Second of all I would like express my 100% congratulations on what you did on Gras. Ive known that farm for a couple of years before you bought it and I must say, the renovations you did on the house do look very good. ( I can only judge by looking at the photos on your website)
Take care and good hunting
Kamaatu

I'm getting married in two weeks but instead of elephants I will be chasing bones with a flyrod in Mexico

Good luck and maybe some day I can visit your place with my wife.
Take care
