giReminder: Donald Trump,Jr Hunt
I hunted with this PH in August of this year. It is the Kilembaro (spelling) valley in Tanz. 1 1/2 hour flight from Dar. He has a very nice camp, brick chalet to stay in snakeproof and also iron bars on windows.
Did anyone notice the short tracker, he is really a midget. The camp staff had a new cook and he thought he would play a joke, he gave the tracker 1/2 ration of foor because he was half a man. The 1/2 man split his head open with the edge of a stainless serving tray, he didn't think it was funny. That incident happened before I arrived. Also, his wife is 6'1" tall.
I had a good hunt, killed one buff and could have killed another out of the same herd, but waited, wound up not taking second.
I was within spitting distance of numerous buff, I am talking 10', could not see them, saw grass moving heard them and smelled them.
Paul is also a very successful cat hunter, both leopard and lion. These are out of my price range. I bet i saw 1000 puku on my 7 day hunt.
Had some lions try to take down a butt maybe 1 or 200 yards from us, the buff got away, could see blood from the buff.
It was a good hunt, I will problbly go black bear hunting in 07 and then buff again in 08.

Why, is he looking for a canned hunt?

NitroX,
Did you have occasion to deal with that loud-mouthed windbag? (The father that is; I know nothing about the son.) If so, I'd enjoy hearing about it.

While still studying at University I worked part time as a "junior" for a Liquidator who was winding up a bankrupt company called I think "TrumpCard Australia".
It had fallen through after two or three years in operation and left over 20,000 creditors unpaid with maybe only $16,000 in cash assets. It channelled about $6 or 7 mil in cash through it in those years.
Trump Snr was a director. I don't think he has returned since to Australia. The Aussie director left in Australia (the Yanks all left the country)
may have had criminal charges laid against him, but I was working for someone else by that time.
I could say a lot more, but it is better left unsaid or unwritten.
Maybe one of his "Apprentices" could think up a scheme on TV and tell him all about it.

As you said, Trump Jnr is a totally different person and was not involved at all, this being about 20 years ago.

All that is off-topic of course.
I don't see how than a small PR benefit to the general public (who have to be watching the hunting show anyway), how a billionaires sons hunting is a great benefit?
A lot of billionaires hunt, a lot of Kings and Princes hunt. A lot of the other Top 100 in the world as well.
Usually they all have no interest whatsoever in the "common" man hunting or not.

Hi 500grains ...
To answer your question, NO /
The only Canned OR CANN'S we are involved with are the ones that hold COLD BEER (Canned Cold Beer) (-: Cheers ....
I actually want to contact Don Jn. to offer him an opportunity to (purchase a fractional share) in the Zambia property which is being developed into a multi-million dollar safari leisure resort, and Don Jr. seems to be one of those fortunate (SELECT FEW) whom have the disposable income to be able to consider and/or afford the opportunity ...

Safari-HuntOff the tpoic,
Seems like everyone doesn't like Trump Senior but rather Trump jnr. So from what I have read on this thread I have come to this conclusion hunting makes you a better man/person tell that to a greenie.

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

500grainsPeter, I think the Trumps are used to making money on real estate deals.

fla3006I didn't see the hunting show but I have seen Trump Jr. interviewed on business programs. He is a grad of The Wharton School like his dad and is a very sharp and aggressive businessman in his own right, and a likeable guy to boot as many here have stated.
NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS.

I want to thank you kindly for that information ....
I will be mailing Don Jr. the (professionally produced) promo DVD on the (APRWC) African Private Residential Wildlife Club - Dendro Safari Ranch - Zambia Project, it is due out from editing around the end of this coming week hopefully.
Thanks again for your time, much appreciated
Cheers, Peter

LeopardtrackI can't believe that some of you have a problem with Jr, because you don't like the father.
He looks like a nice, polite kid, and a hunter at that! Don't we have enough to worry about with the anti's. He's one of US...stop being jelous that the kid is rich. Good for him.

JarrodI enjoyed the show personally, and wish I were there myself. Im glad that Trump Jr. likes to hunt and like as some others have said he seemed like a real down to earth guy to me. If they would not of told, I wouldn't of known who he was.
If I had that kind of money I would hunt anything, anywhere, anytime that I wanted and do whatever else I wanted.
About the gun rather or not it was a remington "which would not of mattered to me if I were there" it killed the Buffalo just as dead whatever it was.

RiodotThis was, IMHO, the best "Dangerous Game" episode so far this season.
The interviews were short and to the point and the added to the hunt.
Unlike other episodes where the interviews were so much drivel! As well as making up 75% of the show.
I don't care who is hunting as long as the hunt is interesting.

dougaboyI didn't see the show with Donald Jr, but I had dinner last night with Paul Jelonek who was his PH for the hunt. Paul had very nice things to say about the son. Said that he was acted just like a regular guy and hunted hard. You can't ask for much more than that.

LeopardtrackDid any of you try to contact Jr at the address that WPN provided, and did he respond??
