Did northfork ever finish designing their solid bullets?

500 GRAINS, maybe if they come out with a 570 grain .510 FN bullet I could use them, as it seems the GSCustom just take so dam long to get my hands on. Thanks,Kev

To answer your question in a word....YES.

However, the finished bullets solids are "EXPERIMENTAL" until reports are returned with actual game shooting results.

The accuracy and 'gel' results are very good. I shot some of the latest/final designs yesterday and they were under an inch and had a close P.O.I. with the 'softs' using the same powder charge. (.416 &.375)

Mike Brady has put these in the hands of several hunters and will be waiting to hear the results. Unfortunately, my hunt in not until the end of SEPT. Some of the others will go before us.

I have some Northfork solids for expermentation in Africa for this year...

The problem Mike is going to have is a design that will feed in ALL guns and that can be a toughie...also is the material he has going to work on elephant...You don't just design a bullet and say OK there you have it, it will backfire on you everytime.....Mike has a long way to go and he may or may not ever put this bullet on the open market..He will if it works and he won't if it fails...

Mike doesn't just jump into things headfirst, he is pretty good about getting all his ducks in a row..

In the meantime he has one if not the best soft point bullets on the market...I know of one Buffalo shot with a 416 Northfork bullet that penitrated the bull from stem to stern, breaking the hip, penitrated the grass filled stomach, vitals, and EXITED from its neck, with a rather large exit wound, keeping in mind the exit wound was at an angle and that tends to enlarge it..That kind of penitration just seldom happens. The range was about 90 yards as the bull went away.
