Paul CBeing Italian myself, my family is from Lucca, I thought it would be interesting to hunt with an Italian PH. I tried to do a search for Italian PH's in Africa and there were more than I thought there would be.

lavacaThere are a few. Hunted with Lupo Santasilia in Masailand last year. Great PH, fluent in Italian. And a great cook as well.

TANZ-PHStefano is a friend of mine, and we have shared camps with clients several times over the years. He is a good, hard working PH and a fun guy as well.
He does many of his hunts lately with another well known Italian PH & outfitter, Federico Gellini. (Stefano's Italian client shot a pretty nice lion (and other good trophies) in Federico's Kilwa-Mwbemkuru block last year).
Stefano has been hunting in Tanzania since a small boy, and speaks fluent Swahili. His father Massimo was also a PH in Tanzania & Kenya for many years.

Paul CI have been watching some of the videos Stefano made which are on you tube. He looks like a fun guy and very animated, as are most Italians. There is one video that shows the effort it takes to set up a camp in the bush. It takes a tremendous amount of work, time, and money. Great video.
