On our way in late March ti Zim for my first Buffalo!! Was going to go Emirates through Dubai just transiting through Dubai! My common law wife is accompanying me, she read somewhere that common law relationships are frowned upon in Dubai! If we don't leave the airport will we have troubles? Has anyone travelled this way?

Will you be wearing a sign announcing it?

You will have NO problems at all. In fact you will find everyone been very polite and helpful !! I travel through Dubai twice a year and have done so with girlfriend ( before I got married!) and then with my present wife and kid whom we had before we got married - no issues at all ! Have a great trip and good luck on your buff hunt !

Apparently an Arab airline offered one free ticket to the wife of any businessman who booked a Business Class ticket.

It was a great success!

So the airlines wrote letters to the wives, offering them all sorts of free stuff if the use that service again.

All the answers the airline got from the wives were "what previous trip I took with you?" rotflmo

Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if
you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on
the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the
day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely
killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed
because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always
recapture the day - Robert Ruark

No problemo! Pay wife,Lynn O'Malley and I,Jim Hinde, spent 4 days in Dubai in August and had no issues. We were needlessly concerned about carrying several prescription meds through Dubai ti Zimbabwe.Expect welcoming smiles and acceptance.......buy beer, wine or spirits at airport if staying for a few days and save money as Hotel prices are high and you can't purchase alcohol in stores.......or just pay the higher hotel prices and enjoy.
