Accubond?
Has anyone used these? If so, how did they perform? The federal loading shoots great in my 375. They are the 260 grain load.
Thanks for any info.

DesertRamScroll back for some threads by Sheldon Charron. He used 225 grain .338 Accubonds recently on several African critters. Seems like they performed pretty well.

Terry BlauwkampThe only Accu-Bonds I have shot have been Federal Vital Shok 180 factory loads in the 30-06.
They were "fast" at 2770 and shot moa.

PanchoWorked great on a Sable at 25 yds and a reedbuck at 300 yds. Shot the 180gr version out of my 300 Win. No recovery on the reedbuck but I recovered the one out of the Sable. Found it in the hide, after it punched both shoulders. I'll use them again.
Thanks for the info. The AB's shoot great. Since I am hunting buff and plainsgame, I will be taking solids, AB's and some 300 TB bearclaws.
Any thoughts are always appreciated,
Regards, PG

Sheldon CharronPG.
Take a look here. There some videos of the kills on a Zebra at about 250 or so and a Springbok at 225.
http://www.accuratereloading.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=636695&fpart=1&PHPSESSID=Great info. I can't wait to get to Zim and give them a try. I am not leaving until Sept. I will post a report upon my return.
Thanks all, PG
See my post on Kamanjab, Namibia. Mine worked great. Good weight retention, and I had to shoot an escaping gemsbok with a texas heart shot. I clipped the tail on entry. The bullet was under the hide to the front of the left shoulder, or about 4 feet plus penetration on the gemsbok. Most shots were exits, the ones that stayed in held together. Bob
