Croc kills boy, 12 in Kitwe

A 12-year-old boy of Kitwe’s Victory Bible College area was killed by a crocodile on the banks of the Kafue River.

Kitwe district officer commanding Nelson Phiri said the boy, George Mubanga, was attacked on Wednesday.

He said Mubanga had gone fishing when he met his fate around 18:30 hours and there was no trace of his remains.

Phiri appealed to members of the public to be cautious whenever they were around the crocodile-infested Kafue River.
