Just learned that my friend, Bert Klineburger, died yesterday. One of the world's greatest hunters that devoted a lifetime to international big game hunting. A true legend.

bwanamrmCondolences to his family. He lived life to the fullest which is a proper epitaph for us all.
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Use Enough GunI had not heard. His brother Chris and Chris' wife Grace are friends of ours here in Vegas. My sincerest condolences.
Very sad to hear this.
What a gentleman he was.
I met him in Seattle, and asked him to arrange my first safari.
He was one of the old school who knew how to deal with a client, and went out of his way to make sure everything went to plan.
I booked my first safari with him.
I told him I needed to fly to the UK for a couple of weeks, then head off to Zimbabwe. And I needed 2 second hand rifles.
They took all day to take me to a gunshop, where I bought 2 rifles. A Ruger 77 25-06, and a Remington Safari 375 H&H.
I could not take the rifles with me to the UK, so he kindly arranged for them to be delivered to Vic Falls and were left there for me.

surefire7Sorry to hear the news.
I am thankful to pioneers like Mr. Klineburger and many others, from many different countries, who paved the way for all of us to enjoy the hunting that we can in far away places, like AFRICA!
Condolences to the family and the many friends he made.

Tim FerrallMy parents bought me the book about the Klineburger brothers while I was still a teenager. It was the fuse that ignited my passion to hunt internationally, particularly Africa. RIP, sir!
