Thanks Balla Balla - Just received my notice of all this from SCI and was going to post it up. As usual SCI is stepping to the plate on situations like this and fighting for ALL our rights. This sounds like the ideal site to get actual, factual info on the Tanz. saga.

I have to agree with mich. Someone will look at that list and think these are the in stone new across the board increases. When in fact they appear to be a safari opewrators increases. It actually looks like there may not be any increases for '07 so this list is irrelevant and just makes the situation more confusing.

My "informers" tell me that 2007 trophy fees may very well go up by about 15% - 20% for all species and cats and ele more. The point though is that these increases would remain through 2008. A compromise may have been necessary

On the 23rd July, TAHOA, representing all outfitters will submit their proposal to the Minister. The Minister will present his Budget Speech on 25th July and that will be the decision as far as the Gov is concerned. Depending on what it states, TAHOA may or may not seek further negotiations.
