It's actually not uncommon for giraffes to sustain such injuries when sparring with another male and the guide almost certainly had it right.

They really do knock hell out of each other in their fights.

Now to address this broken neck. Do you Guys actually realize how miraculous and phenomenal it is ? Normally this would make another animal a paraplegic!!! A human would be immobile completely with the best medical attention.

As a very old timer, life long, aficionado of wild game I always marvel at their extreme superiority in every way to the pathetic , weak, poopy pants, humans -homo sapiens.

The advantage that we have is exceptionally advanced intelligence

But just imagine, it you can, how your are equipped to survive winter. zero temp, a foot of snow on the ground, any branches to eat ???
