‘26 bow leopard got quota’d by Parks- looking to replace
I know unobtainable.

My ‘26 Save leopard hunt got quota’d so I’m scrambling for a cancellation hunt. Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t know why I ever book in advance- never seems to pan out when I do…..

I assume this is the correct sub forum - assume can’t post wanted in the outfitters sub forum.

Here is a funny leopard story.

Alan had put a bait in a tree which grows from the bottom of the river.

He built a straight wall of grass with a large hole in it for a bow hunter.

The bait was close to this wall.

The hunter did get his leopard with his bow.

When it was our hunt, we put a bait on that tree.

One morning, after breakfast and sun was up, we decided to go check that bait as it was on our way out hunting buffalo.

We stopped the truck about 150 yards, and walked to see the bait.

Half way there, we heard the leopard lying in the grass.

As we got to the bait, our trackers were trying to make a sort of L angle to the grass wall, and the leopard decides to just walk to the bait tree and climb up.

In plain sight of them!

We were about 50 yards away from them, and one came running to tell us this.

Off we go to thee grass wall.

No leopard there now.

But, a couple of buffalo bulls pass on the other side of the river, in plain sight!!

A few minutes later, the leopard appears on the tree.

He looked straight at us as I fired.

Back to camp for KABOOBI KABOOBI before 10 o'clock in the morning!

Did they cut the entire leopard quota in Save for 2026? Or just the bow permit? Save cut their entire lioness quota for 2025, also.

They just reduced it by ~25% I think.
