Die Ou JagterRAZOR DOBBS ALIVE
Has anyone seen this show? I know it is not new but I just caught it last night. It is the funniest show on African hunting (not ment to be) I have seen. This guy with his Kangol hat (PHC beret) knee high boots, pony tail etc.
Hunting channel - Pursuit TV
"40 days & 40 nights in dark Africa"
"CZ 550 Safari Classic hardest working rifle in Africa"
Sprayed scent cover on trackers.
This guy is too much.

Bwana BundukiSounds to me like the name should be "TOOL TIME".

GunsCoreI watched him a couple of times, but have found him to be annoyingly wierd. He might be trying too hard to be unique and to establish a brand for himself. I know he tries to sell his own watches, but can't imagine anyone actually buying one. Probably a trust fund baby.

jdollari can't imagine anyone buying ANYTHING he has to sell( including his whole persona)!!

David HulmeRazor had a go at me by way of PM a while back, because I suggested on some thread that he was not a good advertisement for hunting. Too much gung ho, glory boy dung, was and is still my opinion. The antis must love it.

buffybrIn 45+ years of big game hunting, I've never had to run and jump off a cliff into a pool of water while at the same time shooting at some unknown growling creature chasing me.
I guess I'm not a real hunter.

lavacaSpraying scent killer on the trackers might have some utility given that I'm the one who is downwind -- hopefully. Seriously?

African Hunters QuestRazor Dobbs is a glory boy gear whore. If anyone can take him seriously then they clearly need their heads checked. With all of the made up danger situations I think he is terrible for hunting in general.
What a Royal Ass.

Die Ou JagterGlad I am not alone in my opinion. What truly suprises me is some of the sponsers he has, especially CZ.
I just went to his web site and was sorry to see the NRA is a sponser, and I saw he is from TEXAS, now he is the sterotype texan. This is no reflection on all the great texans on this board and those at DSC. This men helps promote all the stero type texans.
As a Pennsylvania Dutchman I can laugh at my self and I am sure many Texans here can do the same.
14 August 2011, 17:57
Cazador humildeBeret...stereo-type Texan...not.
'Doubt he was born here.
14 August 2011, 18:08
Die Ou JagterAre you sure.

I was thinking more of his self image.
14 August 2011, 19:17
DTalaI think ya'll are taking him way more seriously than he takes himself.....
stereo-typical Texan?????

That's funny coming from someone in a state where family trees do not fork and where the most popular pick up line in bars is "Nice tooth".

DTalaMjines, I was making the point that Dobbs is far from the typical Texan, a point which you apparently missed. I like Texans for the most part. I may make an exception with your smart ass...have a nice day.

JBrownI had never heard of this guy until I saw this thread.
Hard to believe anyone would fund him and his show. Not only is he off the carts on the cheese-ball meter, he is also very awkward in front of the camera.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.
Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

drwesHe has been on Versus channel for some time. Unfortunately he is a Texan,,, from Kerrville Texas,, went to college at Texas Tech,, my alma mater.. He has his own line of watches,, looks like a timex to me,,he normally wears some para-military type garb and acts like a reveved up junkie on his shows. Watch as Razor cheats death again!!!!! He is just another guy out there selling his own brand of hunting to make a buck. I usually just switch the channel to at least MUTE,, then OFF

'Texas' the parrot replies.
