A 375/404.
It simply works.
Accurate and deadly!
I only have one, a .375 RUM.
And it also simply works.
And is accurate and deadly!

MARK H. YOUNGI've had a number of each but it always seems that the next shiny thing to come along require a sale of something to justify the acquisition. Presently I have only a one in 375 WBY built by Lon Paul.

Nope, I’m a hunter, just not a shooter. Owned a .375 and took my first buff with it in 2001. When it got to be a PITA to travel with a rifle, I sold it and never regretted it….

LongwalkerI have two .375 H&H rifles, and no .416's. My preferences tend towards the lighter end of the spectrum, with three 9.3's to compliment the .375's.

gunslinger552 .375’s one stainless one a safari express and a .416 safari express all Winchester. I find both very useful. If I had to have one all around it would be .416. Impressive round
That said I was toying with making a .375 RUM

.458 OnlyCurrently a .375 H&H in a left-handed Zastava, having owned two .375 H&Hs previously: a Win M70 and a Browning A-Bolt SS left-hand at different dates.
Never a .416 - as my favorite cartridge is .458 Win Mag in three different rifles - the most versatile cartridge extant if a handloader. Currently in a Ruger No.1H. Previously in a Ruger M77 and a CZ 550.

Are you sharing this information only with fellow addicts, or also with family, friends and physicians?
I fear it is truly time now for an intervention.
Will you sell one to me?

I may need an intervention or an excuse to go back to Zim and shoot them like a double rifle - one on each shoulder!
Honestly, thinking of have some adornment done and give to my two sons….as long as they come in one more hunt with me!

I have a .375 H&H Heym Martini Express, my absolutt favourite rifle. Hard to use both at once, but the more the merrier

Over the years I’ve had 3 different .416 but currently have one .416 Weatherby Safari Custom.
One .375 but it’s not a H&H, it’s a .375 Flanged in a Verney Carron double.
Both used successfully in Africa and US hunting.

Paul, is that the one you got from me years ago?
The horrible question is we have fake hunters using over rated, pretentious toys masquerading as rifles for hunting!
The are called BLASERS!

No. I think you helped to sell my first one to someone else.
And you helped sell my GMA-action, AHR 600 Overkill (another, on MRC PH action) should arrive soon …

Saeed,
You hurt me. You hurt me bad....
I hate to say it but I have tried to hate the Blaser R8 but cannot. They shoot, they shoot accurately, they don't jam, they are inherently safe with a round in the chamber, they handle "fast" and they fit my frame.
What is not to like????

Atkinson375 Ruger, 375 &H, 416 Rem, 9,3x62. and a 404 Jefferys and always a double or two back in the day when I spent 30 days or more in Africa every year. Since retirement I have a 35 whelen as my big bore.

What's not to like about Blasers?
To start their looks are enough to make anyone with a sense of taste

MARK H. YOUNGI used 3 different Blasers on my most recent hunt in UK and Spain. There are a couple of quirks you have to be aware of but they work slicker than snot. I may have to buy one.
