mauser93A Ban on the .375??
This evening, I was reading an article in the 2010 version of Gun Digest by a man named Jim Dickson (the article dealt with a 2-bore rifle). In that article, the following language appears"
"...yet the .375 has been banned for use on dangerous game in multiple African countries..."
Huh?
Please, those legions of AR members more knowledgeable than I help me out here. Which African countries have banned the .375 for use on DG? And when?
Or, as I suspect, does Mr. Dickson need to revisit his research?
Many thanks. Good hunting to all.

Bill CI would think he's referring to minimum energy and bullet diameter requirements for certain schedules of game (such as elephant, buffalo & hippo), but I do not know of any African country where the .375 does not meet these.
Note there was a thread last month reg Zambia, but it appears as though this was a suggestion for PH's only:

Kenya, but that doesn't matter anymore.

Michael RobinsonIIRC, it was the East African Professional Hunters' Association that first recommended the .400 minimum for DG.
It was a pretty good idea, if you ask me.
