I totally agree with Ozhunter. The Norma PH 350 grain Woodleigh should be the ultimate 375 round for dangerous game. Great penetration with a well proven bullet that holds together. They also group great in my mod 70 Winchester. Touching bullets at 50m and thumbnail at 100.The only but, (and there is always a but) is that we can't currently get supply here in the UK.
My dealer informs me that there is an issue with the packaging that doesnt meet some political bollocks EU regulation. I have emailed Norma for an update, but they haven't shown the courtesy of a reply so far.

If I handloaded I would use the 270grn TSX for everything except elephant.

I used the Federal Premium with Nosler 300 grain Partitions with no problems in my .375 H&H on a plains game safari.

If you don't handload the Norma PH ammo is probably the best bet with the 350gr Woodleighs for the big stuff. The 350gr Woodleigh PP in a 375 obsoletes solids IMHO.

Far and away, I've had the best results with 300 grain Swift A-frames. On the small stuff it makes caliber sized holes, on big stuff it penetrates wonderfully and retains 90-95% of it's weight, and it's accurate as hell (in my gun). Remington Safari ammo is loaded with this bullet, and for the one gun safari, it's my go-to gun. BN

I have also used 300 grain Swift A-Frame Loaded by Ramington in their Safari grade Ammo with exceptional results on four safaris.

I like a 250 gr. .375 in Sierra for deer, it even works for the local boys around here on elk, they all have nice perfectly expanded 250 gr. .375 Sierras in their pocket...I have only used them on deer, but I doubt that there is such a thing as 250 to 350 gr. grs. of bullet failure on deer size animals, it kills them regardless...

A good lightweight GS Customs monolithic would be a great USA load for anything...

I am prejudice towards the 350 gr. Woodliegh as I conspired with Geoff on its birth and got to test it in the .375 and the 450 gr. in the .416 Rem. in Africa two years prir to its production...It works great and even gives you a one upsmanship on caliber IMO...Great bullet for Buffalo, Lion and whatever, and it worked just fine in both calibers on a lot of plainsgame..

Lots of great bullets out there today, Kudos to todays bullet makers, bullet failures today are much less that yesteryears bullets that failed about as many times as they performed correctly.

Norma is loading 350 grainers in their PH line in 375. they have reputation to be very good on the both sides of a rifle shoulder busters that kill every thing well, but these cartridge are very expensive

LRH270: I use the same loads in my .375 and I have taken from the largest to the smallest African critters with them. Another vote for the Trophy Bondeds.

The Remington Safari .375 H&H load with the 300 gr Swift A-Frame bullet is the most accurate factory load out there; if your rifle doesn't shoot it, there is probably something wrong with the rifle.

The Federal Safari with the 300 gr Nosler Partition also shots well for me, and you can find this ammunition many places.

I have used Federal Premium factory with the sledge hammer solid and I want to say dead tough or bear claw softs.

My handload for plainsgame is 260gr Nosler Partition, 73gr of RL15, 210M primer, WW case, for 2689fps. My solid load 300gr bullet (I've used Barnes and Woodleighs for hunting and Hornady's for practice) a 215M primer, WW case for 2500fps. I generally will have a 300grain soft point that matches the solid which will shoot to the same place. This requires tinkering.

One must harmonize handloaded 260's so that they both shoot reasonably to the same point of aim as the 300gr loads, or more aptly, they shoot where you want them with the same sight settings. Kudude
