Used Tuffpak?
I've been searching high and low for a good solution for getting my rifle over to Namibia in one piece and back. Was going to go with a Storm case for $175, but was a little bothered by the fact that it looks like a rifle case and doesn't give you much more room for other items. Thought about the Tuffpak (since I could pack a LOT of clothing, a few bottles of rotgut for the owners of the ranch (he LOVES good scotch), etc. but the price was putting me off.

Then I founda rare beast - a used Tuffpak with TSA lock (the new model). $330 shipped.

I'm wondering - is this a pretty good deal? And it also made me wonder - if I don't really plan on using it for many years after this hunt, perhaps I could just turn around and sell it to someone going on their first safari. Sort of a "lend-lease" program - LOL.

I have a lightly used one with a genuine TSA supplied hole drilled through the top, when my boy didn't believe TSA when hauling his golf clubs around the country!! I'll fix it with a padlock acceptabe bar (don't need a TSA lock, no matter who tells you otherwise) for $225 plus shipping.
