The new Boddington on Elephant DVD, with my personal hero Ivan Carter
Okay, I had to put in the personal hero stuff because Ivan participates here. Smiler

Watch the DVD yesterday and today. Thought it well worth the $40 cost. Some great shooting on some big jumbo.

Thought Disk 2 was more entertaining than Disk 1, to me, as it delves into more details on elephant behavior and shot placement.

Of course there were a few problems as I didn't star in any of it and they filmed some of it in Chewore, my favorite place on earth, and I wasn't there. Smiler

All in all, a good video.

P.S.

I still don't understand the reasoning of Mike Payne and the rock.

And it goes to show you that a DR at times has its limitations.

A word of warning about Ivan: don't ever fall for it if he asks you look to see if the prop on his outboard is clear.

I just finished watching disk-2, and it is superb. A lot of info, covering all aspects of the hunt. Shot placement section is excellent, and I appreciated the detail provided regarding what a hunter should look for or at least be aware of when following tracks. Ditto on the shout out to the trackers, truth be told they are the real stars in most any successful elephant hunt.

Well done gentlemen! thumb

Finally my copy arrived yesterday in Europe.

I just finished the second dvd and I must say you guys made a good job. It`s an entertaining movie with some nice kills and the footage and cut is excellent. It`s worth the money.

But from the commercial/advertisement point the dvds strongly remind me to the latest James Bond. There are only few moments where one cannot see internet adresses on caps, shirts or backpacks. That`s a little bit too much for my taste.

Is this Marc Pechenarts trophy room In the taxidermy section of disc 2 ?
