KevinNYCaprivi buffalo?
Didn't we have a couple of members hunting with Vaughan Fulton for Caprivi Buff this year? Anyone home with a report?

Wendell ReichI think he has only shot two. They both had 18" bosses!
I have a picture of one of them. He is not wide, neither of them were, but my gosh, he is beautiful.
I will post it next week.

KevinNYI'll be looking forward to the reports, good luck.

Michael RobinsonWendell, that suits me just fine! I like 'em old and gnarly. Wide's a plus, but not a requirement.

KevinNY, thanks and I'll be sure to follow up.

As DesertRam said,
Vaughan Fulton, who can also be booked through
Wendell Reich. I am not sure if/when they allocated the other Caprivi concessions, but I understand there are other places in the Caprivi to book. I just do not know who has those concessions.

Wendell ReichI do not think they have allocated the concessions. I may be wrong as I have been out of comission for over a month.
Some body who knows?
If that is the case then the communal conservancies are the only option right now in the Caprivi. Vaughan's is a Communal Canservancy which are not under the government allocation system. SO, while all other Caprivi blocks are not hunted, Vaughan has been hunting since the early part of this year.
Others are offering Caprivi hunts, but where they plan on putting you is a good question as there are no guarantees. A question you might ask if you have booked a hunt or are considering booking a hunt in the Caprivi on a government concession.
Vaughan will be gone for over a month, if anyone has questions about the Caprivi, give me a call, he is almost sold out for next year, but, there is one Elephant still available this year.

HarryWendell...he could hang in my office and watch you and me eat ice cream!

You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.

craneThe word was that they were to let the concessions in late Sept. Has anyone heard?
08 October 2005, 01:01
Wendell ReichFrom what I understand, it will be sometime next year before the government concessions are allocated.
There are five communal conservancies in the Caprivi. Vaughan's is the largest. The size of the other four, added together, would approximately equal the size of Vaughans conservancy.

craneWendell- Thanks, I just had confirmed that through another source. That sure is a TIA moment- They are foregoing a chunk of income.
